I always eat here whenever I come to Skudai. The food tastes great. Not bland, not salty, just nice (Tak tawar, tak masin). Service is super fast. The food came after about 2 minutes the last time we were there on Jan 8, 2026. We ordered 2 servings of ox tail soup (sup ekor), 2 servings of rice, omelette for 2 (telur dadar utk 2 org), 1 serving of kailan with salted fish (kailan ikan masin), one fresh orange juice and one hot lime drink. Total amount was RM60.00. That was very affordable. For those who said the prices here are expensive and compare them to KL prices, I don’t think they were from KL or even have been to KL. Kudos to Restoran Cek Mek Tomyam.

We dine-in around 5.30pm and the place still so much space. Tried their pari bakar and lemon steam fish - excellent. Udang & sotong tepung taste delicious. Our food was served very promptly. Definitely will patronise again. At almost 7pm the place is almost crowded.

This is me and my wife "dating place" during our student life at UTM. We had dinner almost every night here. The foods were delicious. After 5 years, now we are here again. Hopefully the taste same as the 1st day.
